Which religious group is known for celebrating Diwali?

The celebration of Diwali is most prominently associated with Hindus, who observe it as one of their major festivals. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It commemorates various events in Hindu mythology, including the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating the demon king Ravana and the goddess Lakshmi's visit to earth.

Though Jains and some Buddhists also celebrate Diwali, their reasons and traditions differ significantly from those of Hindus.
